Longtime collaborators, Jason and Jeffrey, return to the studio with a spontaneous explosion of folk-hop jazz-bient inflections. Recorded in the span of just a couple sessions, they focused on capturing first takes and later manipulating them on cassette tape loops and bending sounds on their favorite floppy disc sampler of things past. The recording captures their daily spontaneity as well as the environmental sounds occurring around them. The result is a hand-stitched piece of humanity that harkens back to the simple experimental recording techniques that led to their first recording together, “The Lost Basement” EP, exactly 25 years ago.
